I thought you forgot in jest, but the answer came that day. You'll keep forgetting until final rest. I feel you slowly slipping away. What happened to the grandma I knew? Unable to recognize my face, things remembered are so few. Small parts of life begin to erase. Doctor's call it "a common disease". "Happens with old age" they say. What is this world coming to today?
 Judgment shields over all of our eyes. Insecurity a daily task. Self conscious thoughts, each their own demise. A smile nothing more than a mask. Pigment sets place in society.
 Any body fat is cause for shame.
 Gay love goes "against" normality. Depression seen as an act, or game. Hateful hearts and wounded souls abound. Schools as peaceful as a shooting range.
 Mental confidence plowed to the ground. Continuance shows no means for change. Too daunting a task to break the trend. Scars so deep they cut down to the bone. One answer: hate must come to an end.
